Please Note that I am not a Professional dota player and is basing my guides on my Pub experience on Playing dota, I do not claim that this guides are the best way to play your hero or isn't claiming that it is the correct way to play your hero but more of an opinion on a specific game situation.
I hope you enjoyed my guide and learned a few stuffs from it.
Your most awaited
Dota 2 by Steam is now free to play, however some may not be able to have access to it yet because it is only on by invite basis.
To those who don't know what Dota 2 is, here is a quoted description of the game from Steam's website
Dota began as a user-made modification for Warcraft 3 and
has grown into one of the most played online games in the world.
Following in the tradition of Counter-Strike, Day of Defeat, Team
Fortress, Portal, and Alien Swarm, Dota 2 is the result of Valve hiring
the community developers who built the mod and giving them the chance to
finally build a full product out of their idea with the help of a
professional team of developers and artists at Valve.
As for the gameplay, it’s a little hard to describe. The camera is
set in the traditional RTS perspective, but it wouldn’t be fair to call
Dota an RTS. And while each hero starts at level 1, and many times hits
the level cap of 25, it wouldn’t be fair to call it an RPG.
Lots of people have tried to assign various genre names to Dota, but
we think Action RTS is probably the most descriptive. And while we don’t
spend a lot of time trying to figure out what genre the game is
inventing, we can’t stop playing it internally!
Valve has announced that they will not be releasing Dota 2 to the public until all heroes are complete, but has given others the opportunity to play via invitation or an access by purchasing a $29.99 early access pass.
This might sound a bit expensive but this early access pass comes with in-game rare items which are exclusively available to this pass only plus some access to online tournaments and replays. All items in Dota 2 are only for cosmetics and styles purposes to keep the game competitive and fair to play. Unlike some other games where you have to separately buy some characters or spells, Dota 2's Heroes are all available to your free to play with no restriction as long as you have access.
For those who are interested in playing dota 2, I have a give away of 15 dota invites which I can send via email and which you can redeem using your old Steam account or by registering to a new steam account.
